KLINGER FAMILY LIFESTYLE SESSION IN CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA

Meet the Klingers! Oh where do I start with this family and the blonde gorgeous one that keeps them all together? I’ll start with how thankful I am to her, for sending her trusted friends my way last year for their families before she had the chance to experiencing a session with me. I met this beautiful mother about 6 years ago when our kids played soccer together at one of local team fields. I soon discovered she and her family are the ones that moved into my dream house that I would pass by everyday until it was sold. hahaha! Well, I’m glad they chose to move here and make Charlotte, North Carolina their home. I may not have gotten the dream home, but I had the pleasure of photographing right at the very house that I used to past by, and dream about. Okay, so enough about dream homes, let’s dive into the day of this session!

First, I started out in the front yard where they have the most gorgeous evening light coming in from the west of their property. Oh, and there’s a good thing we were at their home, because someone forgot their socks in the beginning. lol! So, after spotting the light, and grabbing the forgotten socks, I went straight to work while lying down in the grass.

Next, we made our way to the front porch for some mom and dad couple shots, but I couldn’t wait to get to that gorgeous backyard! That’s when I saw the most amazing light peaking in right there in the walkway to back. After capturing a few more family shots, I had mom and dad leave me with their children. It is so important that the tween/teen age years that I have some moments alone with them. I need this time for them to open up in ways that they may not with their parents or other siblings around.

Finally, they changed into some more casual attire for the second half of their session. Oh and there came JACK, the family dog! What a crazy funny story this made! I was lying in the grass capturing the shot, when Jack came straight for my camera, full steam ahead! haha! I was able to roll away just in time to save myself and my boo. (camera).

We finished the session capturing more sentimental scenery such as their family tree in their yard, and this beautiful property across the street that we all know will soon be filled with neighborhoods one day. The barn with the star hanging up is something we all see from the road in our area many times. So glad her and her family will have these captured to remember forever.

The sunset was gorgeous, and I had them risk their lives in the tall grass, just to get the ending shots. hahaah! Okay, so no one really risked their lives, but their could’ve been spiders and snakes. lol!

Thank you again Klingers for trusting me to preserve your memories.
